As part of its Helping Hands Week fundraising program, the Diner & Café will donate 15% of the revenue from supporters towards Operation Understanding. This Philadelphia-based youth leadership program seeks to develop future leaders in the African-American and Jewish communities, while educating the community about diversity and mutual respect. Participating students from the Philadelphia area learn how to lead workshops in schools and community centers to help foster a greater understanding of diversity and acceptance.
