Private Lives by Noel Coward will be performed November 16-18 at Old Academy Players. It is directed by Barbara Pease Weber and produced by Terri Bateman and Brenna McBride. “Extraordinary how potent cheap music is,” says Amanda, the distaff member of the tempestuous couple whose connubial misadventures spark the witty, hilarious soufflé that is Private Lives. She is wrong about this show because it contains Coward’s evergreen song “Some Day I’ll Find You.” The marital misadventure starts when a divorced couple with new spouses unknowingly book adjoining honeymoon suites. The flame between them re-ignites and they run off to Paris pursued by their ditched and chagrined mates. Banter, mayhem and riotous laughter follow. Performances are Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m., Sunday 2 p.m. Tickets are $15. Call 215-843-1109 for reservations.
