The Wissahickon Environmental Center
300 Northwestern Avenue
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Wissahickon Environmental Center will host “Wild About Worms” on Saturday. Do you love the feeling of a worm wiggling in your hand? Come to the tree house to learn some fun facts about earthworms and red wigglers. We’ll read “Diary of a Worm” by Doreen Cronin, a humorous story of a worm’s perspective on life. Then we’ll venture out on a worm hunt t o see how many worms can be found hiding under logs and rocks throughout the Andorra Natural Area. We’ll learn about what worms eat, the benefits and the impact of worms in the forest, and take time to play worm games. Free! Ages 5 and up. For information call 215-685-9285, e-mail wec@phila.gov, or visit www.fairmountpark.org
