      There will be a portion of time for a free guided tour of the Morris Arboretum on Saturday afternoon, with the emphasis being determined by the various interests of those touring. Each tour is designed specifically to highlight a particular section of the arboretum, however, there is no itinerary. It is recommended that those who are touring for the first time select the general tour of the arboretum to get an over-all idea of what the gardens have to offer.       Enjoy sketching in a relaxed class. A variety of mediums will be demonstrated such as charcoal, pencil, pastels, pen and ink. Still lifes and photographs will be used for inspiration. All abilities are welcome. Instructor Alex Forbes has been teaching for the Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment for the past sixteen years.       The Urban Athletics classes are a 45 minute high-intensity blend of bodyweight exercises, speed and agility training, dumbbell & kettlebell training and more. Each class is lead by an instructor, taking you through your workout step-by-step, just like personal training without the added cost. This way you don’t have to worry about what you’re workout will be each day, nor do you have to question if you’re doing an exercise incorrectly. There is always a coach on staff to lead you through each workout. The cost is $20.

      For most women, the loss of a spouse or loved one is intensely personal and overwhelming. Achieving balance and independence is a constant struggle. For Women Who Grieve, facilitated by Barbara A. Penny, a local attorney and advocate who lost her husband to cancer 13 years ago, will provide emotional support and the tools to move forward. Additionally, Barbara will provide the opportunity for participants to talk openly in an intimate setting about life after this life-altering event.       Girl Rising, a new feature-length film about the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world, will be screened at SCH Academy in the opening week of the film’s release. The film follows a group of remarkable young girls from around the world, born into unforgiving circumstances, pursuing their education, and attempting to create a better future for themselves.

      The film is the heart of 10×10’s global action campaign designed to inspire individuals to take action for girls internationally.       Teen Center

      The Teen Center located directly across from the Chestnut Hill East Train station is open every Friday night from 7:30 to 10:30 pm for 12-15 year olds. The Teen Center is now open for High School Students on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The Center is staffed by a young adult who has his/her clearances. Special Events include: Games, Movies, Drumming, Nintendo Wii, Live music and Open Mic nights. Some Fridays are just TGIF nights to hang with friends. There is free access to the Teen Center with a $25 yearly membership. All teens are admitted with a $5 guest fee charge.
