      Rebound, dunk, double team-what a better way to spend March Madness then playing in a 3 on 3 Tournament. This electrifying night promises to have players from all around the Philadelphia area competing for 1st place and the coveted Diamond Club Phillies tickets.

      This event is sponsored by Teenagers, Inc. to benefit the Guatemala Service trip and operational expenses. Registrations can be mailed to Teenagers, Inc.; 105 Bethlehem Pike, Phila., Pa. or residents can register on-line at www.teensincphilly.org with your credit card. All checks are made payable to Teenagers, Inc., a non-profit organization located in Chestnut Hill. Walk-up registrations will be accepted, too.       This Soul Line Dancing class will teach you some of the old favorites and newer line dances of today. It is a wonderful way to get moving, lose weight, relieve stress and have loads of fun. Soul Line Dance teacher, Lorraine McClary, has been dancing since 2004 and is proficient in more than 100 dances. Lorraine hopes to share the experience of line dancing with you and others who wish to move, groove, and have fun. $7 per class; pay at the door, but please register ahead of your first time.       Come to Folk Dance on Fridays and make new friends and get some exercise while learning ethnic folk dances from Israel, Greece, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and more. Beautiful music and congenial company. No prior experience and no partner needed. Wear comfortable clothing.
      We dance weekly year-round except for cancellations announced in advance in case of weather, holidays, etc. Instruction is by Bill Wadlinger, with occasional guest teachers–and occasional live music. Tons of free parking behind the church. Come and try it out. Cost is $7. Your first visit is free.

      The Teen Center located directly across from the Chestnut Hill East Train station is open every Friday night from 7:30 to 10:30 pm for 12-15 year olds. The Teen Center is now open for High School Students on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The Center is staffed by a young adult who has his/her clearances. Special Events include: Games, Movies, Drumming, Nintendo Wii, Live music and Open Mic nights. Some Fridays are just TGIF nights to hang with friends. There is free access to the Teen Center with a $25 yearly membership. All teens are admitted with a $5 guest fee charge.

      Kids 10 and younger and their caregivers are invited to Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse to celebrate the seasonal reopening of Smith’s Playground.

      Join us on Saturday for a special preview party on the Playground, with a special appearance from KYW’s Kidscast to give kids a chance to be news reporters, carnival games, face painting, water ice and popcorn, and fun on the 6 1/2 acre Playground featuring the famous Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide and over 50 pieces of unique play equipment. Raindate is Saturday, April 6.

Each tour is designed specifically to highlight a particular section of the arboretum, however, there is no itinerary. It is recommended that those who are touring for the first time select the general tour of the arboretum to get an over-all idea of what the gardens have to offer.
