This session we’ll focus on great classic tap pieces from the Legendary LaVaughn Robinson, and blues from Howlin’ Wolf. Especially useful for musicians. (Tap shoes required.)

      Classes run continously throughout the year. Please contact the instructor to make arrangements for registration at timothytapdancing@gmail.com. Cost: $50 per month.

      Join us for family-friendly fun at Stenton this Easter Saturday. Celebrate the Easter holiday by filling your baskets with eggs and chocolate goodies. Learn about natural dyes made from flowers, vegetables, and animal products while dyeing eggs that are provided. Enjoy fun games and crafts, too.

      Event is free, donations are greatly appreciated. Reservations are required as space is limited. All ages are welcome but egg hunts are appropriate for children under 10. We recommend children bring their own baskets. Call 215-329-7312 to reserve your space or email programs@stenton.org

      There will be a portion of time for a free guided tour of the Morris Arboretum on Saturday afternoon, with the emphasis being determined by the various interests of those touring. Each tour is designed specifically to highlight a particular section of the arboretum, however, there is no itinerary. It is recommended that those who are touring for the first time select the general tour of the arboretum to get an over-all idea of what the gardens have to offer.       The Urban Athletics classes are a 45 minute high-intensity blend of bodyweight exercises, speed and agility training, dumbbell & kettlebell training and more. Each class is lead by an instructor, taking you through your workout step-by-step, just like personal training without the added cost. This way you don’t have to worry about what you’re workout will be each day, nor do you have to question if you’re doing an exercise incorrectly. There is always a coach on staff to lead you through each workout. The cost is $20.

Soul Line Dance teacher, Lorraine McClary, has been dancing since 2004 and is proficient in more than 100 dances. Lorraine hopes to share the experience of line dancing with you and others who wish to move, groove, and have fun. $7 per class; pay at the door, but please register ahead of your first time.       Enjoy a pleasant walk along Forbidden Drive as you pursue your fitness goals. You don’t have to do it alone. The Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) is offering two free fitness hikes in Wissahickon Valley Park led by FOW Trail Ambassadors Gay Bain and Gwen Taylor. Meet at Northwestern Drive and Forbidden Drive in front of The Cedars House. This four-mile hike (two miles out and two miles back) will take place along scenic Forbidden Drive. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Walks are cancelled in the event of heavy rain.

      Registration is required and always recommended so that you can be informed if there are changes. Visit www.fow.org to register and for updated information.
