Crime Report

 

The following crimes are from the week of Dec. 25 to Dec. 31, 2005

Dec. 25. 7600 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that two black males approached armed with a handgun and took money and a cellular phone. Males told him to walk away and they started shooting at him. First male, 21-25 years old (who had gun), wearing a black hoodie and baseball cap. No information about second male at this time. Occurred at 6 p.m.

Dec. 29. 8100 block Seminole Street. Contractor who is doing work at this location discovered that between 8 a.m. on Dec. 26 and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 27, one of the employees had removed tools from this location. Complainant states he called subcontractors’ box and went to employee’s home and looked inside of employee’s car and found tools. They decided to give the employee the chance of returning tools on his own and he didn’t. Police were notified. Employee cannot be found. Taken was plumbing equipment, air compressor, chop saw, shop vacuum and various other tools.

Dec. 29. 100 block Bethlehem Pike. Complainant states that between 7 and 9 p.m., an unknown person stole her purse out of her room containing money. Purse was later found in another room. About 12 different employees have access to area.

Dec. 30. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that an unknown person removed purse from shopping cart. Taken from purse was a wallet containing credit cards, Disney Visa card and driver’s license. Occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Dec. 31. 8600 block Germantown Ave. Male came to teller’s window and stated he wanted to open an account and he was asked for two pieces of identification at which time he put his hand in his pocket and took out a demand note for money. He stated he did not want loose money. Male was handed money and fled on Bethlehem Pike. Black male, approximately 5’ tall, medium complexion, with facial hair, wearing a tan jacket with hood, Timberland boots. Occurred at 9:11 a.m.

Dec. 31. 100 block Evergreen Ave. Complainant states he arrived to work at 5:30 a.m. and found basement window open. He discovered later that key to lockbox was found and money taken. Reported at 6 p.m.

Dec. 31. 7900 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that he parked his 1994 Jeep Cherokee at 3 p .m. on Dec. 30 and when he went out to vehicle at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31, it was gone. Maryland tag 444M537.

Summary — Seven crimes for week: three robberies, two burglaries, one stolen vehicle and one theft.
