Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of June 11 to June 17.

June 12 200 block W. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that she was walking in the 200 block when she was approached by a black male who showed her a black handgun in his waistband and demanded her valuables. Taken were a diamond engagement ring with two lines of rubies, one gold Fossil watch and a red wallet containing money. Assailant described as male, 6 feet, 21 to 25 years old, wearing a blue and white horizontal stripe shirt. Reported at 3 p.m.

June 12 9400 block Meadowbrook Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person stole two gray lion statues from the rear yard of property. Reported at 10 a.m.

June 14 200 block E. Moreland Avenue Complainant states that she left her apartment secure at approximately 8:30 a.m., returned at about 1:30 p.m. and found several items stolen. Taken was a Sony PSP and Play Station, Dell computer system, large duffle bag with baby hat and jacket, two silver Razor cellular phones, handbags and a pair of glasses. No forced entry.

June 17 7700 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m., an unknown person attempted to gain entry to apartment by prying open the door. Entry was not gained, but pry marks were on door. Reported at 3 a.m.

Summary Four crimes for week: one robbery, one burglary, one attempted burglary and one residential theft.
