Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of March 11 to March 17, 2007.

March 11. Unit block W. Highland Ave. Police received a radio call at 5:14 a.m. and were met by an employee who stated that two rocks were found on the floor and two windows were broken. Cigarette display was moved and there was a strong possibility that cigarettes were taken. Property was secured at 12:45 a.m. when last employee left.

March 12. Roanoke Street and Hartwell Lane. Complainant was robbed by a male who went through his sweatshirt pocket. stole a Verizon cell phone

and took money from his hand. Offender, white male, 170 lbs., wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Reported at 4:55 p.m.

March 13. 8200 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that a male grabbed her carrying bag and tried to pull it away from her. He wasn’t able to get bag and got nothing. Offender, black male, 5’8” – 5’9” tall, 31 to 35 years old, wearing a baseball cap and dark clothing. Male ran southbound towards Hartwell Lane. Reported at 9:11 p.m.

Summary — Three crimes for week: one burglary, one robbery and one attempted robbery.
