RIPOFF PREVENTION: Mike Mulhern, for 20 years the owner of Apple Roofing in Mt. Airy, had some advice in last week’s Local for consumers on how to keep from being ripped off by a roofing nightmare, but we did not have room for his photo. Mulhern’s partner, Richard Riling, also in his 30s and the father of three sons, fell off a roof several years ago and died. Mulhern resolved then to keep safety and respect for workers paramount in guiding the future of the company. (Photo by Sally Cohen)
