EX-HILLER TO PERFORM: To highlight the Cheltenham Art Center’s current gallery show, “Music as Muse,” The Ken Ulansey Band will perform at the center, 439 Ashbourne Rd. in Cheltenham on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2 p.m. For more information, call 215.379.4660 or email events@cheltenhamarts.org  Tickets are $15. SING AND SIP IN CHURCH: Paulo Faustini, who sings in the choir every Sunday at the Church of St. Martin’s on the Hill, will be leading a choral workshop series  four Saturdays in a row, 2 to 5 p.m., starting Jan. 26, at the church to enhance sight-reading skills. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Hyde of Lower Gwynedd announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer, to Carl J. Dulberger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dulberger of Jacksonville, Fla. Jennifer is a graduate of Germantown Academy and Stetson University. She is the Associate Director of the Jacksonville Historical Society. Carl is a graduate of the Bolles School and the University of Florida. He is employed by the State Attorney’s office in Jacksonville.  A November wedding in the Philadelphia area is planned.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Mandos, Jr. of North Wales, Pa. and Brant Beach, N.J. proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Marisa, to Joseph A. Sergio, III  of Plymouth Meeting, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Sergio, Jr. of Plymouth Meeting and Mr. and Mrs. James M. Lynch of Dover, Pa.  The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in Flourtown and the future groom is a graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting. The couple received their Bachelors of Science degrees from Chestnut Hill College. Marisa is employed by Comcast Corp. in Philadelphia and Joseph is employed by Ametek, Inc. in Paoli.
The couple is planning a Spring 2009 destination wedding.

CELEBRATING 100th ANNIVERSARY: Herbert B. Rothe, Jr. (from left), his wife, Linda, and their son, Herbert B. Rothe III, are the third and fourth generations of the Rothe family to own and operate Rothe Florists, which is currently celebrating 100 years in business at 7148 Germantown Ave. in West Mt. Airy. Over the years, Rothe Florists opened stores in Flourtown, Springhouse and North Wales, always with Mt. Airy as its principal location, and has since consolidated all stores into 7148 Germantown Ave. For more information on this century-old community institution, see story on page 23.
