ObituariesJeanne T. Jones A life-long birder, Mrs. Jones took courses in bird identification at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia and could identify even the confusing fall warblers. She was involved with the Schuylkill Valley Nature Center, the Wyncote Chapter of the National Audubon Society, the Crosswicks Bird Sanctuary and Outdoor Gardeners. Mrs. Jones served in many roles at the Greene Street Meeting of the Society of Friends, including clerk of the meeting. She also served on committees for all three Friends schools she and her children had attended, including George School, Greene Street School, and Germantown Friends School. She reviewed children’s books for the Friends Free Library, as well as helping to raise funds at library antique sales. Mrs. Jones was born in Albany, N.Y., the daughter of John A. and Edith (Lockwood) Tousaw. She came to Philadelphia, attended Stevens School and graduated from George School. She received a certificate from the New York School of Interior Decoration She served on the School Committee at the George School for more than 20 years and received the George School Alumni Award in 1982. Mrs. Jones and her late husband, R. Bruce Jones, lived in Chestnut Hill from 1956 to1987, when they moved to Foulkeways. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Jones Walters of Philadelphia; a son, Eric Nelson Jones of Waynesboro, Pa., and three grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Greene Street Monthly Meeting, 45 W. School House Lane, in Germantown. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Street Friends School, 5511 Greene St., Philadelphia, PA 19144.
Mary Ann Pfingst Stulb Mrs. Stulb was born in Greensboro, N.C., the daughter of the late Osborne and Mary Clothier Pfingst. Mrs. Stulb graduated from Springside School and Mount Vernon College. She was an active member of St. Jude and the Nativity Church in Lafayette Hill and a member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Her husband, Joseph Stulb, preceded her in death. Mrs. Stulb is survived by four sons, Thomas, Mack, Christopher and David, and five grandchildren. Two brothers, Osborne and George, preceded her in death. A memorial sevice was held May 30 at the St. Jude and the Nativity Church, 202 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Burial was private at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the above church.
Frederick G. Weigelt Mr. Weigelt is survived by his wife, Joanne Jordan Weigelt; daughters Victoria, Amanda and Lori; a son, Frederick “Rick”; sisters Christina, Elizabeth, Helen and Cathy; brothers, Steven and Michael, and two grandchildren. Funeral services and interment are private.
