The following crimes were reported for the week of Jan. 4-11, 2009:

Jan. 4. 7700 block of Crittenden St. Anna Chinkhathork, 20, an employee at Pathmark, was arrested for taking money from the cash register on four separate occasions totaling $200.

Jan. 5. 200 block of E. Evergreen Ave. An unknown person kicked in the basement door of a residence and took a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $800 between 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 2 and 1 p.m. on Jan. 5.

Jan. 8. 100 block of W. Mermaid Ln. An unknown person attempted to enter a residence through a side door between 10 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 11:05 a.m. on Jan. 9.

Jan. 9. 8000 block of Winston Rd. An unknown person attempted to break into a 2008 Ford Escape between 6 p.m. and midnight. The door locks were damaged. Nothing was taken.

Jan. 9. Unit block of Benezet St. An unknown person broke the rear driver’s side window of a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor between 9 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 10 Taken were a fur hat, pair of gloves, pair of glasses and sunglasses, valued at $1,725.

Jan. 10. 300 block of E. Willow Grove Ave. A man told police he was home at 4:40 a.m. when he heard glass break outside. He looked out of his window and saw a white male wearing a thin gray hoodie removing a camcorder valued at $1,200 from his vehicle.

Jan. 11. 300 block of E. Willow Grove Ave. Gregory Montgomery, 37, was arrested on aggravated assault charges after an altercation occurred with his girlfriend where he allegedly punched her in the face, kicked her in the chest and put a gun to her face telling her “I’ll kill you and anyone who walks through that door.” Police recovered a loaded black Kel-tec 9 mm handgun at the scene.
