The following crimes are from the week of March 29 to April 4, 2009.

March 29. Unit block E. Mermaid Lane. An unknown person  removed a laptop, ID and keys from a 2001 Pontiac Aztec. No forced entry.

March 29. 100 block W. Springfield Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the right front window of a black 2008 Acura and stole a 4 GB Apple iPod.

March 29. 100 block Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that he was awakened by his alarm and upon investigation he found door frame bent and window broken. Nothing was taken. Reported at 5:30 a.m.

March 30. 7700 block Devon St. Complainant states that she parked her 2002 Mazda Tribute at 8:30 a.m. on March 29, and when she returned at 9:35 a.m. on March 30 she found an  unknown person had rifled through glove compartment and console. Things had been moved around but nothing appeared to be missing.

April 1. Unit block W. Springfield Ave. Complainant states that between 5 p.m. on March 31 and 11 a.m. on April 1, an unknown person stole vehicle tags from a blue 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan.

April 4. 200 block W. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that several people had been at her house and when they left she noticed her Apple Macbook laptop was missing. Reported at 1 a.m.

April 4. 8400 block Prospect Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person entered through sliding glass door and alarm was activated. No forced entry. Nothing was taken.

April 4. Valley Green Inn and Valley Green Road. Complainant states that an unknown person opened the soft top window of his Jeep and went through glove box. Nothing was taken.

Summary — Eight crimes for week: one burglary, one theft and six thefts from vehicles.
