The following crimes are from the week of May 31 to June 6, 2009

May 31. 7700 block Crittenden St. Complainant states that while she was placing her groceries into her vehicle an unknown person took her purse from her shopping cart. Taken was a Dooney & Bourke handbag, one gold ring with diamonds, one 8gb hard drive, a wallet containing money, Pa. driver’s license and various personal papers.

June 2. 200 block E. Mermaid Lane. Between 9 p.m. on June 1 and 7:30 a.m. on June 2, an unknown person stole a gray Toshiba laptop computer, one Acer desktop computer, one black iPhone, one Nintendo and Sony speakers and sub-woofers.

June 2. 300 block W. Moreland Ave. Complainant states that between 10 p.m. on June 1 and 8:40 a.m. June 2, an unknown person pried open the passenger side window from door frame of a silver 2005 Toyota. Entry was not made, and nothing was taken.

June 3. 8300 block Millman Place. Police responded to a burglary alarm and found front door open. Upon further investigation they discovered that a chandelier was missing.

June 3. 7600 block St. Martin’s Lane. An unknown person kicked open rear terrace door, breaking bottom latch. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.

June 4. 200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states that between 8:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., an unknown person got into apartment in an unknown manner and stole a Dell flat screen monitor, assorted change and money. No forced entry.

June 4. 8700 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that two offenders took a bottle of Johnny Walker Red from store and fled westbound on Bethlehem Pike.

June 5. 400 block E. Abington Ave. Complainant states that she and her husband heard a loud sound and then a few moments later their alarm went off. Male offender kicked open their bedroom door and when he saw them he turned around and fled downstairs and out the front door in an unknown direction.

June 6. 7600 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states she had a verbal altercation with her brother when he asked for the pin number to her bank account. When complainant refused, her brother pinned her to a wall by her  shoulder and spit in her face. She said that after about one hour she gave in and gave him her pin number. She also said her brother had already taken her ATM card from her purse.

June 6. 8800 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an acquaintance stole a black 2005 Mitsubishi, Pa. GFS0303 while she was having a procedure done. Incident occurred at 8:30 a.m.

June 6. Valley Green Road & W. Springfield Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person entered a gold Honda Odyssey and stole a brown wallet containing two Wells Fargo credit cards, a green card, a Social Security card, Colorado driver’s license and money. Occurred at 7:15 p.m.

Summary — Eleven crimes for week: five burglaries, one robbery, one stolen vehicle, two thefts and two thefts from vehicles.
