The following crimes are from the week of August 24 to August 29, 2009.

Aug. 26. 7800 block Ardleigh St. Complainant states that she was walking northbound on Ardleigh Street when she was approached from behind and heard a man’s voice say, “Don’t scream and don’t turn around.” She felt a “metal” object pressed against the back of her head. He took her purse containing money, a digital camera and an iPod. Offender, black male with deep voice. Occurred at 1:48 p.m.

Aug. 26. Unit block W. Bells Mill Rd. Complainant states that between 1:30 and 3 p.m., an unknown person broke into a 2007 Lexus 250 in an unknown manner and stole a black wallet containing credit cards, money, insurance cards, keys, N.J. driver’s license, an iPod, and a backpack from another complainant.

Aug. 26. Unit block E. Abington Ave. Complainant states that at approximately 10:45 p.m., offender put a black handgun to his head and demanded complainant’s wallet. The offender fled eastbound on Abington Ave. Taken was the wallet containing credit cards and money. Offender, black male, approximately 27 years old, stocky build, 5’8” tall, wearing a black T-shirt with writing on back and glasses.

Aug. 28. 400 block E. Abington Ave. Complainant states that on Aug. 27 she paid for her lunch and on Aug. 28 when she returned to work her money was missing. Complainant states that other people had access to area where her desk is located.

Aug. 29. Germantown and Northwestern Aves. Complainant states that between 6:30 and 9 p.m., an unknown person stole a black 1995 BMW 740, Pennsylvania tag GWZ2880.

Summary — Five crimes for week: two robberies, one stolen vehicle, one theft and one theft from vehicle. Town Watch, 215-248-1320.
