![]() The following crimes are from the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, 2009. Aug. 30. 400 block W. Moreland Ave. Complainant states that between 9 a.m. on Aug. 28 and 9:20 p.m. on Aug. 29, an unknown person cut the screen, entered the house through an unlocked window and stole a dark brown jewelry box containing assorted jewelry. Aug. 31. Unit block Summit St. Complainant states that she was away from home from 5 p.m. on Aug. 7 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 16. The complainant told police that someone with access to her home took three blank prescription forms and 30 tablets of Valium. Sept. 3. 9400 block Meadowbrook Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole money and credit card receipts from safe. Sept. 4. Unit block W. Chestnut Hill Ave. Complainant states that between 2:30 and 10 p.m., an unknown person damaged lock to living room window, gained access to home and stole one 18-karat gold chain, two clocks and a set of car keys. Sept. 4. 100 block W. Chestnut Hill Ave. Complainant states that between 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 and 12:10 a.m. on Aug. 26, an unknown person[s] entered home and stole one Xbox, one Wii System and a 32” Sony television set. When complainants returned home they found front door open and basement door unlocked. Sept. 4. 7600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that a male stole her bicycle and fled southbound on Germantown Ave. Black male was stopped by police shortly after theft and identified by complainant. Offender was arrested by police. Name withheld because of age. Summary — Six crimes for week: three burglaries and three thefts. Town Watch, 215-248-1320.
