The following crimes are from the week of Oct. 11 to Oct. 17, 2009.

Oct. 11. 7700 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states offender was stuffing his backpack and pocket with pills. Complainant was unable to stop male from running out of store. Male, 31 – 35 years old, 180 lbs., wearing a gray hoody and tan pants. Occurred at 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 13. 7700 block Ardleigh St. Complainant states that an unknown person gained entry through rear steel screen door which appeared to be pried open. Stolen was one silver 42” Sanyo flat screen TV.

Oct.. 15. 200 block Rex Ave. Police responded to burglar alarm and when they arrived they found broken glass pane to front door. They did a walk through and found everything secure. Occurred at 7:04 p.m.

Oct. 15. 200 block W. Highland Ave. Complainant states that between 6:15 a.m. and 8 p.m., an unknown person broke in through rear hatch door and stole a jar of coins.

Oct. 15. 7900 block Winston Road. Complainant states that between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., an unknown person forced open rear door and stole a black 45 caliber ACP handgun, Ser. #N43234 9 and various jewelry.

Summary — Five crimes for week: four burglaries and one retail theft.
