The following crimes are from the week of Oct. 18 to Oct. 24, 2009,

Oct. 18. 7800 block Germantown Ave. Between 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 18, an unknown person kicked open the side door and stole eight necklaces, 15 rings, two bracelets and two earrings.

Oct. 18. Unit block E. Abington Ave. Complainant states that between 10 p.m. on Oct. 5 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 6, an unknown person stole a passport (Columbian) from inside her home. Daughter and son-in-law live with complainant.

Oct. 21. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person forced entry into building and stole a 32” Sona Bravia television, Ser. #32XBR9, a Dell laptop with monitor and 20 DVDs.

Oct. 22. 7700 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states she was walking to store when an unknown person came up from behind her and grabbed her small tote bag containing a red wallet, various credit cards, money, personal checks. During the struggle victim bruised her left elbow. Offender, black male, 5’11: tall, dark complexion, clean-shaven, wearing dark clothing and a hoody. Male fled westbound on Mermaid Lane.

Oct. 23. 200 block E. Evergreen Ave. Police responded to radio call for burglary alarm and upon arrival found ground level basement door open and  undamaged. They entered basement and found inside basement door forced open with damage to door frame. Upon further investigation they found two drawers to bureau partially open and top drawer missing completely.

Oct. 23. 7800 block Roanoke St. Police responded to burglary in progress and upon arrival police were met by owner who was at home. Forced entry was made through double doors on east side of house while owner was on the west side of house. Occurred at 9:06 p.m.

Oct. 23. 7800 block Roanoke St. While responding to above property, police observed outside storm cellar doors were open to property next door and police conducted a walk-through. No entry was made to inner cellar door which was bolted shut from inside. Occurred at 9:45 p.m.

Summary — Seven crimes for week: one robbery, five burglaries and one theft.
