The following crimes are from the week of Jan. 3 to Jan. 9, 2010.

Jan. 3. 7800 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states he came home to find damage to his door as if someone tried to force entry. Damage was to front door but entry was not made. Reported at 12 p.m.

Jan. 4. 200 block E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant went to sleep about 1 a.m. and was awakened by roommate who states that she noticed a man attempting to leave apartment with a bag. The man dropped the bag and fled. Doors were locked and entry was made through a window. Male, 5’7” tall, wearing dark pants and a black jacket with a fur collar.

Jan. 6. 7800 block Stenton Ave. Between 8:20 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., an unknown person damaged lock and dead bolt to an apartment. No entry was made.

Jan. 7. 7600 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a Pennsylvania tag, YRM4063 from a 2003 Dodge RAM.

Jan. 7. 7700 block Crittenden St. Complainant states that an unknown person gained entry to a 1989 Chevy Celebrity and damaged dashboard while stealing radio. Reported at 1:15 p.m.

Summary — Five crimes for week: one burglary, two attempted burglaries and two thefts from vehicles.
