The following crimes are from the week of March 14 to March 20, 2010.

March 15. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that an unknown person took three toothbrushes from store and fled eastbound on Mermaid Lane in a black Chevy, Pennsylvania tag HHM6806. Offender, black male, 30’s, light complexion, thick beard, wearing a brown coat and hoodie.

March 16. Unit block W. Bells Mill Road. Manager states that a known white male who was working for construction company, informed him that an employee stole copper and downspouts from property.

March 18. 8300 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole wallet containing money, driver’s license, health insurance and credit cards.

March 20. Unit block Norman Lane. Police responded to a burglar alarm and found rear window with fresh pry marks. Upstairs bedrooms were ransacked and entry seems to have been made through rear bedroom window. Taken was assorted jewelry. Occurred between 5 and 6:30 p.m.

March 20. 8200 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person broke out rear passenger side window to a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 and stole a global positioning system. Reported at 12:01 a.m.

March 20. 8800 block Germantown Avenue Complainant states that while seeing what was happening at the Norman Lane burglary, an unknown person attempted to pry open rear sliding door and kicked in exterior door to courtyard. Reported at 8 p.m.

Summary — Six crimes for week: two burglaries, two thefts, one retail theft and one theft from vehicle. Keep windows and doors locked.
