The following crimes are from the week of May 24 to May 29, 2010.
May 25. 8800 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that a known male took appointment book from complainant’s office and when asked to return it, refused. Occurred at 12 a.m.
May 25. 9600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that she left her Verizon Droid cell phone in financial aid office. A witness saw offender take phone. Offender left before police arrived. Occurred at 5:25 p.m.
May 26. 7600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that a Louis Vitton wallet containing money and various credit cards were taken from her purse by an unknown person. Occurred after 12 p.m.
May 28. 8600 block Germantown Ave. Teller states that white male entered bank and came to her window. Male said he had a bomb and demanded large bills from teller. Teller fainted and male fled in an unknown direction without any money. Occurred at 4 p.m.
May 29. 7800 block Crefeld Street. Complainant states that an unknown person cut screen and attempted to force lock open in dining room. Entry was not made. Occurred at 9 p.m.
Summary — Five crimes for week: one burglary, one attempted robbery and three thefts.
Keep windows and doors locked to house and cars. Summer is here and you might consider putting in window stops so you can only open five or six inches.
