The following crimes are from the week of July 11 to July 17, 2010.

July 12. Stenton and Willow Grove avenues. Complainant states she was looking in her purse when an unknown person came up from behind and struck her. Complainant was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center. Black male, 5’2” tall, thin build and dark complexion. Occurred at 2:54 p.m.

July 13. Forbidden Drive and W. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states that he parked his 2008 silver Toyota Tacoma at 1:15 p.m. and when he returned he found that an unknown person had taken his Rolex watch and money from vehicle.

July 13. 100 block W. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a radio from a 2004 Subaru. Reported at 8:30 p.m.

July 13. 200 block Benezet Street. Complainant states that he was walking in the 200 block of Benezet Street when he was struck in head and face by two unknown black juveniles after he refused to give them five dollars. Complainant was taken to Chestnut Hill Hospital. First male, 16 -18 years old, wearing blue jeans; second male, 16 -18 years old wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. Reported at 8:50 p.m.

July 14. 8100 block Ardleigh Street.

Complainant states that between 8:30 p.m. on July 13 and 8 a.m. on July 14, an unknown person stole a girl’s purple Schwinn mountain bike from front porch.

July 16. 500 block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states she parked her 2010 GMC at about 1 p.m. and returned at about 1:30 p.m. to find driver’s side window broken. Taken was a tan Coach purse containing an American Express card and various other cards.

July 17. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states he left his blue BMX bike  outside store and when he returned his bike was gone.

July 17. 7600 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that two black males walked behind bulk storage unit and stole various fruits.

First male, unknown years old, wearing blue shirt and blue jeans; second

male, unknown years old, 4’11” tall,

wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Occurred at 12 a.m.

Summary — Eight crimes for week: one robbery, one aggravated assault, three thefts and three thefts from vehicles.
