The following crimes are from the week of September 19 to September 25, 2010

Sept. 19. 9600 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that she went to offender’s room at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, and when she attempted to leave he blocked the door and threw her on the bed. Offender then pulled off her boots, pants and underwear and raped her. Complainant was later transported to the Special Victims Unit.

Sept. 20. 8300 block Seminole Avenue. Complainant states that between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., an unknown person forced open dining room window and ransacked bedrooms. Money was taken from glass jar and additional money was taken from dresser.

Sept. 20. 7800 block Navajo Street. Police responded to burglar alarm and found first floor sun room screen out and window forced open. Police did a walk-through and determined entry was not made. Nothing was taken. Reported at midnight.

Sept. 20. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that offender was intoxicated and hit him in the face, breaking his nose. Complainant was treated at Chestnut Hill Hospital.

Sept. 21. Unit block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant came home about 12 p.m. after being informed by his cleaning lady that his home had been broken into. Entry was made through a second floor bathroom window which may have been left open. Offender may have climbed up to small roof which is over kitchen. Master bedroom was ransacked and various pieces of jewelry were taken.

Sept. 22. 7600 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that between 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 21 and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 22, someone entered her apartment and stole money from her backpack. Complainant believes that someone other than herself has key to apartment.

Sept. 24. 200 block Rex Avenue. Complainant states that between 6 and 10 p.m., an unknown person forced open basement door and ransacked master bedroom. Taken were several pearl necklaces, diamond rings, ruby and diamond rings, and several other pieces of jewelry.

Sept. 25. 8200 block Seminole Avenue. Complainant states he arrived home at about 8:30 p.m. to find lock broken to front door. When he checked inside he found dresser drawers open in every bedroom and several other rooms. Taken was one Gibson Les Paul guitar, one Gibson “Chet Atkins” guitar and a silver and gold bracelet.

Summary — Eight crimes for week: one rape, six burglaries and one aggravated assault.
