The following crimes are from the week of October 10 to October 16, 2010.

Oct. 10. 100 block W. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person smashed the passenger side window with a rock and stole a backpack and a pair of sunglasses. Reported at 12 a.m.

Oct. 11. 7600 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that between 6 p.m. on Oct. 7 and Oct. 11, an unknown person stole a red 1993 Mazda MX-6, Pennsylvania tag HPA6921.

Oct. 11. Highland and Seminole avenues. Between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., an unknown person stole a red Toyota Corolla, Pennsylvania tag DNK0727.

Oct. 12. 8300 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person pulled air conditioner out from window and attempted to climb through, but did not get inside. Black male, dark complexion, slight beard, wearing a black hat and all black clothing.

Oct. 13. Unit block W. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states that an unknown person threw a boulder through the driver side window of a white 1999 Volvo and ransacked vehicle, unlocking all doors. Nothing was taken.

Oct. 13. Unit block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person removed the license tag, Pennsylvania DKA0296, from a blue Honda Civic.

Oct. 15. Stenton and Northwestern avenues. Complainant states that an unknown person broke into a 2003 Mazda and stole a Nikon camera and camera case, camera lens, credit cards and money. Reported at 12:30 p.m.

Oct. 16. 100 block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Police were surveying area and observed a rear kitchen door open. Police did a walk-through with negative results. When complainant arrived home she found out that earrings and a watch were stolen.

Oct. 16. Unit block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Police responded to a burglar alarm call and observed rear kitchen door open and pry marks near door lock to sliding door. Nothing was disturbed. Occurred at 7:15 p.m.

Oct. 16. Germantown and Rex Aves. An unknown person stole a silver 2000 Chevy Cavalier, Pennsylvania tag PD7852V. Reported at 10 a.m.

Summary — Ten crimes for week: three burglaries, three stolen vehicles and four thefts from vehicles.
