After winning all of its regular-season swim meets against fellow members of the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies, Mount St. Joseph Academy placed first at the AACA championships on Feb. 11 at Upper Dublin High School. It was the Magic's sixth consecutive league title.

The league All-Star teams were announced after the completion of the championships.

On the first team, the Mount was represented in eight events. Named in the 200-yard medley relay were, in swimming order, seniors Aurora Martin and Maya McCottry, sophomore Kelly McDonald, and freshman Charli Schoen.

Junior Katie Scanlon was named to the first team in both the 100 and 200

freestyle, and her classmate Rose Schmidt earned the honor in the 100 breast stroke and the 200 individual medley. McCottry was a first teamer in the 100 back stroke.

Also making the first team were the members of the Magic's two top freestyle relay quartets. In the 200-yard event were freshman Grace Detwiler, McDonald, Scanlon, and Schmidt, and the foursome for the 400 consisted of Detwiler, Martin, Scanlon, and Schmidt.

Mount St. Joe's second team all stars were Martin, in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly, McCottry in the 200 individual medley, Detwiler in the 100 back stroke, and Schoen in the 100 breast stroke.
