The annual celebration, a day when local pets take center stage, featured entertainment, vendors, a photo booth and live music. A dog trick show by Bad Dog Good Dog Training, of Philadelphia, delighted onlookers, music from Play it Forward provided the live soundtrack and vendors offering everything from homemade dog treats to educational and pet health information set up shop along the Avenue. The event was presented by the Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op. Adina Silberstein, owner of Queenie’s Pets store in Mt. Airy and a longtime organizer of the festival, earlier told the Local “This is not just a dog event. It’s for all animal lovers.” Pets, and their humans, also enjoyed a special Yappy Hour and adoption agencies helped orphaned animals find foster and permanent homes among the crowd.
