“Better Together,” this year’s annual campaign for the Chestnut Hill Community Association and the Chestnut Hill Local, has raised $40,000 as of this week toward a goal of $175K. Originally scheduled to conclude by Jan. 31, we will extend the campaign through February to allow our community time to meet this generous challenge.
As president of the CHCA, it is my job to “toot the horn” and bring attention to the value of these two entities, which serve as pillars of our neighborhood.
If you appreciate the service that our community association provides in organizing the public forums for review of land use and zoning issues, we need you. If you and your family and friends enjoy attending our free Pastorius Park Concerts, Movie Nights at the Water Tower, the Holiday Parade, and Holiday House Tour – or if you are looking forward to Hoops Madness this March – we need you. And if you love the lift that our Greenspace initiative brings each spring to areas enjoyed by all – then please consider making a gift today.
If you believe that having a quality, award-winning, community-based newspaper – a rare thing for a neighborhood of our size – that delivers both entertaining and vital information about the people, events, and issues that are important to you – then please consider a gift to help us match this challenge and attain our goal.
The Chestnut Hill Community Association and the Chestnut Hill Local, both together and on their own, give us a sense of community and mark our collective past, present, and future. And they have been doing so for more than 75 years.
But history and accolades do not pay the bills. To maintain and prosper, the CHCA and the Local need support from you, our friends, and neighbors.
Please do not put it off. Do not delay. Send your support by way of a check or visit our donation page on the website www.chestnuthill.org.
Join our constellation of community stars and give energy to our challenge. We are all so much "Better Together!"
Yours in community spirit,
Laura Lucas, Chestnut Hill Community Association President & Co-Chair of “Better Together” Annual Appeal
