Batala Philly, a samba-reggae percussion group with several members from Northwest Philadelphia, performed during halftime of the Eagles game against the Los Angeles Rams, Sunday, Sept. 21, to celebrate Latino Heritage Month.
Rae Whatley, a Germantown resident who has been with Batala for three years, described the group’s on-field performance as “amazing.”
She said, “It was absolutely the biggest gig we’ve ever done, and we were all super excited.”
