The Crafted in Philly Beer Tour is back for its second year with 31 participating taprooms – six of which are in the Northwest. This extensive list has almost tripled from the inaugural event, which featured 11 breweries.
From April 25 to July 31, guests can celebrate Philadelphia’s craft brewing scene by purchasing a $50 ticket for one free 8-12 ounce pour of their choice at participating breweries across the city and in the suburbs. If a beer lover can hit all locations, this equals less than $2 per beer.
The tour was founded by two Philadelphia-based companies: BrewedAt, a Gen Z-owned beverage events and marketing business, and Let’s Rallie, an app that helps teams create and manage events. Participants are encouraged to use the app to find an interactive map of participating breweries, preview what’s on tap, and vote for their favorite beer style, brewery, atmosphere, and much more.
In Northwest Philadelphia, participating locations include Chestnut Hill Brewing Company, Cider Belly Hard Cider in Chestnut Hill, Töska Restaurant & Brewery in Mt. Airy, Young American Hard Cider in Mt. Airy/Germantown, Attic Brewing in Germantown, and New Ridge Brewing Company in Roxborough.
Tony D’Amato, general manager of New Ridge Brewing Company, said the team at the brewery is excited to serve their list of 10 draft beers to visitors in their first year as a participating location. He is hopeful there will be some new faces at New Ridge.
“It’s an event that runs for a long time, so it could bring some people in from outside the Roxborough-Manayunk area,” D’Amato said.
Alex Prost, general manager of Chestnut Hill Brewing Company, shares in the enthusiasm.
“We have a lot of fun with it,” Prost said. “It’s always nice to see new people coming in and trying out what we deliver. We are always excited to have new guests.”
