Crime Report: Gun drawn during 'road rage' incident

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period between April 26 to May 2. Some dates earlier than the current period took place at that date and reported after the fact.

Chestnut Hill

April 29 Theft on 8500 block of Germantown Ave. A woman called police and said she discovered items had been taken from her purse bus she didn’t know when or where. Taken were multiple credit cards and a library card.

May 1. Stolen car on the 200 block of E. Mermaid La. A woman told police she parked at the location and when she returned her car was missing. Car is a grey, 2016 Nissan Rogue.

Mt. Airy

April 23 Theft on 6600 block of Germantown Ave. A woman said a package containing Neiman Marcus shoes was delivered and stolen from her residence. Package valued at $425.

April 27 Aggravated assault on the 200 block of E. Cliveden St. A man told police he had a verbal argument with his live-in girlfriend. He asked her to leave and she tried to take his house and car keys. He said the woman took a photo off the wall and threw it at him, however, he was not injured.

April 28 Aggravated Assault at Lincoln Drive and Emlen St. A complainant and witness told police that a man drew a gun on the complainant in what was referred to as a road rage incident. The man with the gun threatened the complainant and then fled in his vehicle.

April 28 Theft on unit block of Westview Ave. A woman called police and told them her neighbor was messing with her house plants and had stolen one of her ferns. The woman filed a criminal complaint.

April 29 Theft. A man told police someone stole a package containing a $160 ceiling fan from his porch.

April 30 Theft from vehicle on the 400 block of E. Phil Ellena St. A woman told police she parked her work van at the location and returned to find the rear passenger side window broken. Taken were a DeWalt pressure washer, a Stihl Blower and various other painting tools. Stolen items are worth more than $1,300.

April 30 Stolen vehicle on the 6400 block of Germantown Ave. A woman told police her car, a silver, 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe was taken from the location.

May 2 Stolen vehicle on the 400 block of W. Upsal St. A woman brought groceries home in her car and recalled several hours later that she had left her keys in the car. When she went out to retrieve them, her car, a gray, 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, was gone.

May 2 Theft on the 6600 block of Lincoln Dr. A resident reported a package containing $50 of lamp timers was taken from his front door.
