The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the one week period between Feb 21 and 27. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Feb. 22 Theft of auto parts. Complainant reported a catalytic converter missing from a vehicle on the unit block of W. Willow Grove Ave.

Feb. 25 Retail theft. An offender stole items, including batteries, razors and medicine from a grocery store at Market Square, located on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Feb. 26 Theft from auto. A complainant was visiting the park at 66 Valley Green Rd. When she returned to her car, she noticed her window smashed in with items, including a wallet, a jacket and credit cards, stolen. 

Feb. 27 Theft. Soon after the complainant’s father died in her house, his wallet went missing. Multiple family members had been in and out of the house, located on the 200 block of Springfield Ave.

Mt. Airy

Jan 27 Theft of auto parts. Complainant reported a catalytic converter being stolen off her car on the 300 block of E. Upsal Street.

Feb. 14 Theft. Complainant states his bicycle was stolen while shopping at a store located on the corner of Germantown Avenue and W. Sedgwick Street.

Feb. 19 Motor vehicle theft. Complainant had her 2002 Lexus stolen from 100 block of E. Phil Ellena St.

Feb. 24 Theft. Security camera shows a package being stolen from the 100 block of W. Cliveden Street.

Feb. 25 Theft. A complainant states that his bicycle was stolen from the front porch of his house located on the unit block of Pleasant Street.

Feb. 25 Aggravated assault. A complainant states that his cousin, who had been living with him at his apartment on the 200 block of E. Johnson St, brandished a knife and swung at him. The complainant had to hide in a bathroom to protect himself. 

Feb. 26 Theft. A complainant states that a book bag that contained a firearm was stolen from his house on the 200 block of Slocum Street. Other family members had access to the house.
