The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Nov. 14-Nov. 27. 

Chestnut Hill

Nov. 24 Shoplifting. A complainant reported a patron trying to steal a shopping car filled with alcohol and laundry detergent from the Acme on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. However, the offender left the items at the store after being confronted. 

Mt. Airy 

Nov. 19 Theft. A complainant reported two tables being stolen off her porch, located on the 6800 block of Mower Street.

Nov. 23 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her rental car going missing from the 200 block of East Upsal Street.

Nov. 25 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car going missing from the 300 block of East Mt. Pleasant Avenue. 

Nov. 27 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported her license plate being stolen off her vehicle, which was parked on the 300 block of West Johnson Street.

Nov. 27 Theft of motor vehicle. A complainant reported that a car with a broken window was blocking their driveway on the 6600 block of Sprague Street. Police observed damage to the ignition. The vehicle was recovered by its owner after it was reported stolen. 

Nov. 27 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported the catalytic converter being stolen off her car, which was parked on the 300 block of East Upsal Street.

Nov. 27 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported her rental car being stolen from the 1300 block of East Upsal Street.
