July 29. Shoplifting. A man stole toilet paper and paper towels from a store on the 7700 block of Crittenden St.
Aug. 1. Shoplifting. An offender stole items from Staples on the 7700 block of Germantown Ave. They were later arrested in Mount Airy.
Aug. 1. Theft. A complainant reported the keys and vehicle paperwork stolen from their Volkswagen Jetta on the 200 block of W. Evergreen Ave.
Aug. 1. Shoplifting. An unknown person stole phone chargers, super glue and a bag from a grocery store at the 7000 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 1. Theft. A woman got into an altercation with an offender who stole her phone before leaving the 200 block of E. Mermaid Lane. The woman did not wish for further police involvement and was transported to the Chestnut Hill Hotel.
Aug. 4. Vandalism. A complainant went fishing on the 9100 block of Germantown Ave. and found their car broken into and a backpack stolen containing various items.
Aug. 5. Theft. A woman reported her painting missing on the 700 block of Wolcott Drive.
Aug. 6. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Audi A4, with expired tags, missing at the 7900 block of Navajo St. Visible drag marks indicate the vehicle was removed, but is not on file as being towed.
Aug. 10. Vandalism/Theft. Unknown offenders broke into a Range Rover at the 700 block of Cornelia Place and stole several items.
Aug. 10. Theft. An unknown offender stole an Apple Watch from a vehicle at the 7700 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 11. Shoplifting. An unknown man stole tequila from a retail store at the 8700 block of Germantown Ave.
Mt. Airy
July 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their car missing after returning from work. The car was parked at the 6300 block of Morton St.
July 22. Theft. A woman reported a man stealing her package from the mailroom at the 200 block of W. Upsal St.
July 23. Theft. A woman reported items stolen out of her unlocked Nissan Maxima at the 300 block of W. Hortter St. A Louis Vuitton wallet, change purse and social security cards were reported stolen.
July 24. Vandalism. A complainant reported the window and steering column broken in their Kia Soul at the 100 block of W. Mount Airy Ave.
July 26. Theft. A woman reported a package stolen from her home at the 200 block of E. Hortter St.
July 26. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Kia Optima broken into at the 100 block of W. Upsal St.
July 27. Theft. A woman reported that her Gorilla Cart was missing from her driveway at the 300 block of Roumfort Road.
July 27. Theft. A woman reported her car’s window broken, with various tools stolen at the 100 block of E. Durham St.
July 29. Motor Vehicle Theft. A Woman reported her Kia Sorento stolen at the 6700 block of Lincoln Dr.
July 29. Vandalism/Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported the passenger window and steering column broken in their Kia Sorento at the 300 block of W. Johnson St.
July 29. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported a Honda Accord stolen at the 400 block of Montana St. The owner of the vehicle is currently incarcerated.
July 29. Shoplifting. A woman left a store without paying for pet toys at the 7100 block of Germantown Ave.
July 29. Vandalism. A man reported a Kia Soul broken into with the ignition broken at the 7100 block of Germantown Ave.
July 30. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Chevy Malibu missing after finding broken glass where she parked it at the 500 block of Pelham Road.
July 30. Shoplifting. Two women filled carts and left without paying for items at ACME, located at the 7000 block of Germantown Ave.
July 31. Shoplifting. Four juvenile males wearing all black stole candy and soda from the Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave.
July 31. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her car missing after returning from a cafe at the 100 block of W. Durham St.
July 31. Theft. A complainant reported $300 worth of fabrics stolen from their home at the 200 block of E. Durham St.
July 31. Burglary. An unknown person threw a rock through a second-story window and stole all the copper from a building on the 100 block of E. Mount Airy Ave.
Aug. 2. Theft. A complainant found their car door opened and items stolen at the 6400 block of Anderson St.
Aug. 3. Theft. An unknown person stole the registration out of a car at the 6300 block of Musgrave St.
Aug. 3. Vandalism/Theft. A complainant found their car window broken and their wallet stolen at the 7200 block of Wayne Ave.
Aug. 3. Vandalism/Theft. A complainant found the rear passenger window of their Subaru Outback broken at the 6800 block of Greene St.
Aug. 3. Theft. Police responded to a disturbance at the 6400 block of Lensen St. A woman reported that her landlord was on the property and two keys were missing when he left.
Aug. 3. Vandalism. A complainant found their BMW broken into at the 800 Block of Carpenter Lane.
Aug. 3. Theft. Three unknown men broke into a Chevy Traverse at the 1200 block of Yerkes St. and stole a handgun and two tablet computers. The complainant caught the incident on a Ring camera.
Aug. 3. Vandalism/Theft. A complainant found the rear passenger window and ignition broken in their Hyundai Sonata at the 400 block of W. Johnson St.
July 20. Vandalism. A man parked his car at the 6500 block of Park Line Drive, after returning to the car he noticed damage to the vehicle and his wallet missing. He later discovered more than $1000 in charges applied to his credit card.
Aug. 2. Theft. A man reported his car broken into and items stolen at the 1200 block of Yerkes St. Among the missing items were an iPad and a handgun. The man has a video of the incident.
Aug. 4. Shoplifting. A witness reported seeing regulars at Wawa put items in a bag and leave the store at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 4. Shoplifting. An unknown person entered the ACME at the 7000 block of Germantown Ave. and spent an hour in the bathroom before stealing chips and leaving.
Aug 4. Shoplifting. Police were investigating a suspect for two separate retail thefts and were on location at the ACME at the 7000 block of Germantown Ave. The suspect then walked into the store and was immediately recognized by police and arrested.
Aug. 4. Vandalism. The tape was ripped off a Jeep’s window at the unit block of E. Duval St. and a wallet was taken from the vehicle.
Aug. 5. Theft. A woman parked her car at the 200 block of E. Cliveden St. and returned to find her sandals and sunglasses stolen.
Aug. 5. Aggravated Assault. Police arrested a man after he reportedly choked his girlfriend and told her “I’m going to rape you and I should kill you.” The woman told police that she ran out of the house and the man pushed her to the ground. He also struck her in the face and attempted to use a taser on her.
Aug. 5. Shoplifting. An unknown offender stole food from Acme at the 7000 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 6. Shoplifting. An unknown offender stole Red Bull energy drinks from Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 6. Theft. A man reported his AR15 rifle stolen from his Chrysler 200 at the 6600 block of Musgrave St.
Aug. 6. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Hyundai Elantra stolen at the 6300 block of Greene St.
Aug. 7. Aggravated Assault. A woman reportedly went to her ex-fiance’s house to get money when the offender attacked her at the 600 block of E. Allens Lane. The woman went to the 14th district police department to report the crime and was bleeding and missing several teeth.
Aug. 7. Theft. A woman reported the catalytic converter stolen off her vehicle at the 700 block of E. Upsal St.
Aug. 8. Shoplifting. An offender stole chicken and beef from the Grocery Outlet at the unit block of Hortter St.
Aug. 8. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Lexas stolen at the 100 block of W. Phil Ellena St.
Aug. 8. Motor Vehicle Theft. An unknown offender stole a Toyota Camry at the 100 block of E. Cliveden St.
Aug. 8. Aggravated Assault. Police responded to the 200 block of E. Sharpnack St. to a man who was shot in the knee. The man told police that an unknown offender in a black hoodie approached him and shot him in the knee. The man was transferred to the hospital in stable condition.
Aug. 9. Shoplifting. A manager told police that multiple juveniles stole multiple food items from the Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Ave.
Aug. 9. Shoplifting. A man stole laundry detergent from a retail store at the 6500 block of Greene St.
Aug. 9. Aggravated Assault. A woman reported that she answered the door for her uncle at the 500 block of Brinton St. when he pushed the door into her causing her to fall. The man then went into the basement and stole a safe containing $2,500 in jewelry.
Aug. 9. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported her Audi A4 missing at the 6700 block of Blakemore St. Police checked to see if the vehicle had been towed, but found no results.
Aug. 9. Theft From Motor Vehicle. A man reported $5 in change stolen from the center console of his car at the 400 block of Slocum St.
Aug. 9. Identity Theft. A 16-year-old reported receiving vehicle documents and a title in the mail at the 7100 block of Boyer St. despite never purchasing a vehicle.
Aug. 10. Vandalism. A complainant reported that three unknown offenders broke into their Hyundai Elantra and damaged the steering column at the unit block of W. Durham St.
Aug. 10. Shoplifting. A complainant reported two unknown men stealing unknown items from a retail store at the 6500 block of Greene St.
Aug. 10. Vandalism. An unknown offender broke into a Hyundai Elantra and damaged the steering column at the 300 block of Wadsworth Ave.
Aug. 10. Burglary. A woman reported having a video of two unknown individuals with hoods covering their heads at the 500 block of E. Allens Lane. Various items totaling $3,300 in value are missing from the home.
Aug. 10. Vandalism. A woman reported the window and steering column cover broken in her Hyundai Accent at the 1000 block of E. Cliveden St.
Aug. 10. Vandalism. A man reported the window broken and a purse stolen from his Mercedes Benz at the 500 block of E. Gorgas Lane.
Aug. 10. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman’s son reported her Nissan Maxima stolen at the unit block of E. Cliveden St.
Aug. 11. Shoplifting. An unknown man filled a backpack with lotions from a retail store and left without paying at the 6500 block of Greene St.
