The following is for crimes reported from April 7 to April 13.  (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.) 

Chestnut Hill

April 3. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman in the 8711 block of Norwood Avenue told police that someone rifled through her vehicle, but nothing was taken.

April 7. Theft. A complainant at the Fairview Nursing Home in the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike reported that $61 worth of items he ordered from Walmart had been delivered, according to a photo on his app, but were missing …

The following is for crimes reported from April 7 to April 13.  (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.) 

Chestnut Hill

April 3. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman in the 8711 block of Norwood Avenue told police that someone rifled through her vehicle, but nothing was taken.

April 7. Theft. A complainant at the Fairview Nursing Home in the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike reported that $61 worth of items he ordered from Walmart had been delivered, according to a photo on his app, but were missing when he went to pick them up.

April 12. Motor vehicle theft. A man reported that he parked his light blue Infiniti Q50 in a parking lot in the 7700 block Crittenden Street and when he returned his car was missing.

April 12. Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported that she parked her 2020 Honda CRV in the 100 block of East Mermaid Lane and when she returned the car was missing.

 Mt. Airy

April 4. Aggravated Assault. A man told police that while he was at a store in the 1300 block of East Johnson Street, he was assaulted by two offenders. One punched him multiple times forcing him to the ground and then both offenders stomped him in the head. Complainant said he lost consciousness and when he woke up, he was in the car of a witness who then transported the injured man to his home.

April 7. Shoplifting. A person took two cases of Red Bull valued at $40 from a convenience store in the 8200 block of Stenton Avenue, left without paying for them and fled in a dark colored SUV.

April 7. Shoplifting. A person at Grocery Outlet in the unit block of West Hortter Street took bathroom items without paying for them, and was later arrested. The items were recovered.

April 7. Shoplifting. Assorted items were stolen from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue by a person who visits the store daily to steal.

April 9. Theft. A person at the intersection of Cherokee Street and West Cliveden Street reported that their iPhone in black case with white butterflies was snatched while the complainant was traveling on the Route 18 bus.

April 9. Theft. A person at the intersection of Chew Avenue and East Cliveden Street reported that their iPhone in a pink case was snatched while the complainant was traveling on the Route 18 bus.

April 10. Theft. Complainant at Chew and Upsal Streets reported that she was sitting on the Route 18 bus when a suspect snatched her teal iPhone and ran off the bus.

April 11. Theft.  A woman at the CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive told police that she argued with an offender,  then moved to the back of the store and the offender proceeded to take multiple items without paying for them.

April 11. Theft. A person at the Grocery Outlet in the unit block of West Hortter Street took food and laundry items without paying for them.
