May 11. Shoplifting. A store manager at the ACME on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street observed someone put food into a cart and leave the store without paying.
May 12. Domestic dispute. A pregnant woman on the 200 block of East Willow Grove Avenue got into a fight over money with an ex-boyfriend, during which she alleged that he grabbed her by the neck, choked her, and kneed her in the belly several times.
May 12. Theft. A complainant parked his unlocked electric bicycle on the 100 block of East Mermaid Lane to explore an old playground nearby. When he returned, the bike – a gift from his father – was gone.
May 14. Theft. A man took items from the ACME on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street and fled the store in a Honda SUV.
May 15. Shoplifting. Someone took $80 worth of shaving cream from the CVS on the 7700 block Germantown Avenue and left without paying.
May 16. A manager at the ACME on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street reported that someone took $150 worth of items, dropped them on the sidewalk, and fled after the manager confronted them.
Mt. Airy
May 11 Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property. Complainant woke at approximately 6:50 a.m. to find her rear basement door open, items missing, and all four tires on her Toyota Corolla punctured and flat.
May 11. Theft of motor vehicle parts. Complainant on the 300 block of West Johnson street reported that their car tags and registration were stolen.
May 11 Shoplifting. Items were reported stolen from the ACME on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.
May 12. Burglary. A woman living on the 100 block of East Cliveden Street came home to find her front door open and a MacBook and a lockbox containing ammunition missing.
May 12. Shoplifting. A man tried to take food items from the ACME on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue but fled when he realized employees were watching. According to the employees, he is a repeat offender.
May 13. Shoplifting. Witnesses saw a man put multiple lemonades and deodorants into his pants before walking out of the ACME on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue without paying. The offender was arrested.
May 13. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his car missing from the 500 block of West Pelham Road.
May 13. Theft. A man riding the 23 SEPTA bus on Germantown Avenue reported that someone snatched his bag, which contained medications including Alprazolam, Dulcolax, and Iodine patches, and got off the bus at the Mt. Pleasant stop.
May 14. Shoplifting. An employee at the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue saw two females take snacks, candy bars, and water worth $60 and leave without paying.
May 14. Shoplifting. Someone took soaps and body wash worth $150 from the CVS on the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive and left without paying.
May 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported that the door lock on her 2015 Hyundai Tucson was removed and the steering column was damaged.
May 15. Intimidation, threats. A woman on the 300 block of West Johnson Street reported that her boyfriend beat her and took her housekeys and cellphone.
May 17. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A man who lives on the 100 block of West Allens Lane left his car in the parking lot when he went away for the weekend. When he returned he saw that someone ripped it apart and took a bag of tools.
May 19. Shoplifting. An employee at the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue reported that someone stole a smoothie after getting into an argument over payment.
May 17. Shoplifting. An employee at the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue reported that multiple teenagers left the store with about $60 worth of snacks without paying.
