The following is for crimes reported from Sept. 21 to 28. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Sept. 18. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of property; Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car was broken into via the rear passenger window and items worth $1,000 were stolen at 7600 Stenton Ave.

The following is for crimes reported from Sept. 21 to 28. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Sept. 18. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of property; Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car was broken into via the rear passenger window and items worth $1,000 were stolen at 7600 Stenton Ave.

Sept. 21. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported two iPhones stolen from her vehicle on the 8200 block of Germantown Avenue, after she gave an unknown male access to her vehicle.

Sept. 21. Shoplifting. An offender shoplifted more than $100 worth of items from ACME at 7700 Crittenden St.

Sept. 22. Theft. A woman reported that a package was stolen from her porch at the 8600 block of Seminole Avenue.

Sept. 22. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported multiple items stolen from the trunk of her vehicle, which was unlocked and parked outside Our Mother of Consolation Parish School.

Sept. 23. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of property; Theft from motor vehicle. Eleven vehicles were broken into at the Chestnut Hill Tower apartment complex parking lot. Several items were stolen.

Sept. 26. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant who left their keys inside their vehicle reported it stolen from the 100 block of West Springfield Avenue.

Sept. 28. Shoplifting. An employee at ACME at the 7700 Crittenden St. reported that a woman took detergent, deodorant, fabric softener, and three cases of water and left without paying.

Mt. Airy

Aug. 15. Theft. A complainant reported multiple items stolen from the entrance of their apartment on the 6600 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 20. Theft from motor vehicle. A man reported a firearm stolen from his vehicle on the 300 block of East Gorgas Lane.

Sept. 21. Shoplifting. An offender shoplifted coffee and cakes at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue and was arrested by police.

Sept. 21. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported someone stole his insurance and registration cards from his vehicle in the 7000 block of Boyer Street.

Sept. 21. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported someone stole her wallet from her vehicle at the 500 block of West Pleasant Avenue.

Sept. 21. Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported an unknown offender stole items from her unlocked vehicle at the 6400 block of Matthews Street.

Sept. 21. Theft from motor vehicle. A man reported his bag was stolen from his vehicle at the 1200 block of Yerkes Street.

Sept. 22. Shoplifting. Multiple offenders shoplifted snacks from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue and fled in a gray Nissan Altima.

Sept. 22. Aggravated assault. A man reported that his caregiver came into the room and hit him at the 300 block of West Johnson Street.

Sept. 22. Robbery; Weapons law violations. A complainant reported being robbed by two offenders with a handgun at 5:30 a.m. at the 380 block of East Gorgas Lane.

Sept. 23. Shoplifting. An offender shoplifted Red Bulls from Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 24. Motor vehicle theft. A woman told police her vehicle was stolen from the 6600 block of Sprague Street.

Sept. 24. Shoplifting. Offenders snatched various snacks from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 24. Shoplifting. An offender loaded a bookbag with meat from a market in the unit block of West Hortter Street and fled.

Sept. 25. Theft from motor vehicle. A plate was stolen from a car and replaced with another stolen plate. AirPods were also taken.

Sept. 25. Motor vehicle theft. A woman told police her car was stolen from the 300 block of East Upsal Street.

Sept. 25. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their vehicle stolen from the 200 block of East Johnson Street.

Sept. 25. Theft. A complainant at a clothing store in the 6600 block of Germantown Avenue told police items were stolen from her bag and her debit card was used by an offender at a CVS.

Sept. 25. Robbery. A student at A.B. Day school reported they were walking to school in the 1100 block of East Johnson Street when an offender told them “I don’t want to hurt you; just give me your phone.” The student observed an extended gun magazine hanging from the offender’s hoodie pocket, complied, and the offender fled.

Sept. 25. Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported her vehicle stolen in the 6700 block of Blakemore Street

Sept. 25. Theft from motor vehicle and vandalism. Multiple vehicles in the 200 block of West Upsal Street were vandalized and items stolen.

Sept. 26. Motor vehicle theft. A man told police his car parked in the 6700 block of East Pleasant Street was stolen.

Sept. 26. Shoplifting. Several offenders at the ACME supermarket in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue stole items and alcohol.

Sept. 26. Shoplifting. An offender at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue grabbed a bottle of Sweet Tea vodka, threatened customers, and left without paying.

Sept. 26. Shoplifting. An offender took Red Bull cans from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 26. Carjacking. A man in the 1400 block of Johnson Street reported he was in his car when he was approached by several males, at least one pointing a gun. They took his cellphone and wedding ring, then fled in his car.

Sept. 27. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant told police their vehicle stolen from the 400 block of Mt. Airy Avenue.

Sept. 27. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their vehicle stolen from the 6700 block of Crittenden Street.

Sept. 28. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant who allowed his daughter to use his vehicle told police she parked it in the 6800 block of Musgrave Street and when she returned it was gone.

Sept. 28. Shoplifting. An offender took Red Bull, chips, and candy from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
