The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period between Feb. 9 – Feb. 14
Chestnut Hill
Feb. 13 Theft from vehicle on unit block of W. Northwestern Ave. A woman told police she left her wallet in her car while she went walking in the Wissahickon park. She returned to her vehicle and returned home before realizing her wallet was no longer in her car.
Feb. 14 Retail Theft on 8700 block of Germantown Ave. An employee at the Wine and Spirits store told police a man placed three bottles of Seagram’s gin into a duffel bag and left store without paying. Total value of the gin is $75.
Mt. Airy
Feb. 8 Retail armed robbery on the 6500 block of Greene St. A store manager said two men shopped around the store and when they came to the register, one produced a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes. They fled with approximately $200 in cash and cigarettes.
Feb. 9 Stolen vehicle on 600 block of W. Mt. Airy Ave. A man told police he parked his vehicle in his driveway and woke up the next morning to find it missing. He has both keys for the vehicle. Make and model wasn’t listed.
Feb. 9 Theft from unit block of W. Sharpnack St. A woman told police she was alerted to delivery of a package containing three iPhones worth $1,600 but found the package was not at her home.
Feb. 14 Retail theft on 7200 block of Germantown Ave. Wine and Spirits store employees told police they saw someone take two bottles of Johnny Walker scotch and leave the store without paying. The value of the bottles taken is $94
