A Philadelphia-based organization that helps cancer patients through their healthcare battle will host a dessert fundraiser Oct. 19 at the Chestnut Hill Hotel.
Founded by breast cancer survivor Syreeta Harrison, Cupcakes for Cancer provides comfort care baskets to patients undergoing treatment, as well as support for survivors and their co-survivors who have helped them through treatment.
Attendees at the fundraiser can indulge in sweet treats with proceeds going to creating the organization’s Chemo Care Baskets or supporting Cupcakes for Cancer’s virtual support …

Attendees at the fundraiser can indulge in sweet treats with proceeds going to creating the organization’s Chemo Care Baskets or supporting Cupcakes for Cancer’s virtual support group series called Survivor Saturdays.
Harrison was inspired by her own treatment and survival journey. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014.
