Tea for three?
Matine’s in Chestnut Hill promises first-class ladying every day right up until Sunday with several ways to celebrate. A “Mommy & Me High Tea” costs $55 for two and $65 for three including a “handcrafted drink” and three-tier treat tower. It’s also walk-ins only, so you can act like you planned it that way all along. They’re offering several Mother’s Day drink specials (Cardamom and rose latte, anyone?), and if you prefer to do your ladying at home, just pick up a specially curated gift box. Hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Unveil your brunch
Germantown’s Unveil Event Studio brings back its Mother’s Day Brunch, promising, aside from favorite dishes like shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles, entertainment including “vendors, praise dance selections, photo stations, and giveaways.” Tickets are still available and cost $45 per person. Brunch runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Even moremosas
Mom’s not an early riser? Forget brunch, go for linner and painting at Germantown’s Our House Culture Center. This women-only Paint and Sip event brings together the talents of three artists to help guide mom’s hand after a few drinks. General admission is $50 each with VIP tickets at $75 each. General admission gets you all painting supplies, brunch, and three mimosas. VIP tickets bring supplies, brunch, bottomless mimosas, a punch bar, and a gift bag. Event runs 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

She’s crafty
Beat the crowd and celebrate a day early (or pick up a last-minute gift) on May 10 at Glenside’s North Penn VFW Spring Craft Show. There will be gifts galore, as well as raffles, and food available. Vendors are both inside and outside the hall and the event will continue rain or shine. Shop ‘til you drop 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Catch mom if you can
If you have (or are) the kind of mom who doesn’t want to spend her special day sitting at a table, join the Friends on the Run/Roxborough Mother’s Day Walk and Run. Taking place along the Wissahickon’s lovely Pachella Trail, registration for this 5k costs $25 if you sign up by May 10. And $20 for athletes aged 6-10. The event raises awareness and funds for those living with breast cancer. Start time is 8 a.m. for runners and 8:15 a.m. for walkers. Register online.
