More than 300 marchers from Chestnut Hill and nearby communities turned out for this year’s Chestnut Hill Community Association’s Holiday Parade, sponsored by Quintessence Theatre. Schools, bands, dance troupes, scouting groups, civic groups and area institutions marched down Germantown Avenue, starting at the top of the hill in Chestnut Hill and ending at Market at the Fareway for some hot chocolate and cookies. The annual tradition, organized by Parade Chair Brien Tilley, is a much-anticipated kickoff to the holiday season.
