IKEA South Philadelphia has partnered with Chestnut Hill Hospital by donating home furnishing products for the Chestnut Hill Hospital Family Medicine residents’ on-call rooms. The two new rooms were designed by the IKEA South Philadelphia interior design team. Residents will use the rooms while on-call for overnight shifts at the hospital.
According to Heather Spatz, market manager at IKEA South Philadelphia, “We are guided by a vision to create a better life for the many people. The team at IKEA South Philadelphia is excited to put our values and home furnishings expertise into action and help our neighbors at Chestnut Hill Hospital have a better everyday life at work.”
“We’re so grateful to IKEA for this generous donation to the residency program at Chestnut Hill Hospital,” says Marc McKenna, MD, program director, Chestnut Hill Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. “One of our current residents, Meneena Bright, MD, really lead the effort in getting the IKEA room renovations. The rest of our residents will be thanking her and IKEA for a better nights’ sleep and a brighter and more inviting living space for years to come.”
