Owner Kevin Penney, who has operated the original shop for over four years, is partnering with Fishtown Seafoods to also offer fresh seafood at the Chestnut Hill location. The selection will include oysters, salmon filets, tuna steaks and other seafood products.
The expansion comes after Market at the Fareway owners Ron and Abby Pete worked with the Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District to find a replacement for Rice's Quality Meats, which closed in March.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, followed by refreshments. The shop will remain open until 8 p.m. for First Friday celebrations.
