Thanks to the generous support of the community and with the help of numerous knowledgeable volunteers, the "Light up the Tower" project has raised more than $50,000 of $100,000 needed.
That money will fund the following improvements to the park surrounding the historic water tower:
- Installation of graze lighting to highlight the tower
- Restoration of WWll Memorial
- Repair of slate walkways
- QR code to direct visitors to website about the tower and war memorial history
- Park bench placed near tower
- Bollards installed to keep vehicles off of the sidewalk
- New Signage
- Repair of sidewalks and path to the lower park
- Installation of curbs and ADA ramps.
