Letter: Repair potholes now

I have written before to The Local on the subject of potholes in the Chestnut Hill area, but nobody seems to be getting the message.

It’s really getting ridiculous. Some of the worst of these hazards reside on Bethlehem Pike between Flourtown and Chestnut Hill. They are huge and are certainly capable of doing damage to one’s automobile. When I wrote before, I mentioned one particular problem at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike, Stenton Avenue and Papermill Road.  Positioned right in the middle of the intersection were some monster holes that I made my best efforts to avoid.  Unfortunately, they are now worse.

I never see any Streets Department trucks around filling these holes.  Is it such a low priority to the city and to Montgomery County that it keeps getting postponed over and over again? It’s incredibly frustrating! I can only hope that the right person reads this and decides to finally do something about the area’s pothole problem.
