You wrote a most beautiful article about “our” Judy (“Judy Meisel, Holocaust survivor, activist, dies at 91,” Dec. 3). That she was the most remarkable person you ever interviewed means so much! You captured her message, her positive attitude and love of people perfectly, and she passed this onto thousands of high school students and others. Judy literally changed lives; I witnessed it over and over again. It was real. Many teachers and principals said, “Judy reached students in a way that no one else could!”
I will send this article to her family, my out-of-town family and out-of-town friends. I am grateful that you have written about Judy every time she visited our area and now of her passing. As Judy would always say, “One person can do a lot,” and she did, and so do you. You realized and recognized a great human being. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I will miss my dear, most remarkable, special friend and hero.
