A man was killed after being struck by a train in East Falls on Sept. 25.
According to police, shortly before 8 a.m., a Center City-bound train on the Manayunk/Norristown Line struck the man at the Schoolhouse Lane crossing between Wissahickon and East Falls stations.
He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. No customers or SEPTA employees were reported injured.

Investigations are underway involving SEPTA Transit Police and the System Safety Division. At this time, police do not know why the man was on the tracks.
