Medical ethics expert to speak in Rotary talk via Zoom

The Chestnut Hill Rotary Club will feature Dr. Arthur L. Caplan who is the founding head of the Division of Medical Ethics at the NYU School of Medicine and the  ethics advisor to the U.S. Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on synthetic biology, will lead a talk sponsored by the Chestnut Hill Rotary Club on Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Caplan is a former Chestnut Hill resident and served as the Sidney D Caplan Professor of Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.

An author of numerous books and journal articles, Caplan has a broad range of expertisein the field of Medical ethics including issues of end of life, sports medicine ethics, and vaccination ethics and policies.

The talk will take place on Zoom and is open to anyone who wants to join simply by emailing  lawrenceschofer.rotary@gmail.com for the link.
