Awards, music and hors d’oeuvres will highlight “A Night on the Avenue,” on Saturday, May 4, when the Mt. Airy CDC is scheduled to host an epic spring fling to celebrate the Northwest Philadelphia neighborhood.
The Go Mt. Airy Gala, a fundraiser to support the CDC’s programs, will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Sedgwick Theater, home of Quintessence Theatre Group, at 7137 Germantown Ave. State Sen. Art Haywood will be honored during the evening, along with other community champions. Music will be by Reverend Chris & the Lower 19119, food by Herb Scott Catering and desserts by The Frosted Fox bakery.
Bar Lizette, at 7152 Germantown Ave., will host a pre-party at 6 p.m. and Toska Restaurant & Brewery, at 7136 Germantown Ave., will host a post-party at 10 p.m.
Gala tickets are $150. Pre-party tickets are $75 and post-party tickets are $50. A ticket bundle that includes all three events is $250. Suggested dress: “colorful casual.” For information and tickets, visit mtairycdc.org.
