Muscato grew up on the road with his touring musician father. His journey from aspiring physician to full-time musician has been anything but conventional. After graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2012, Muscato briefly worked as a trainer for PGA Tour professionals before answering music's persistent call.
The artist's work is deeply influenced by the addiction struggle of his brother Sonny who has autism. These experiences led Muscato to found Rock Autism in 2018, now one of the nation's leading multimedia vocational programs for individuals with autism.
The Buffalo-based organization, which partners with companies like Apple and New Era, provides workshops in music production, film production, and screenwriting. Their annual Rock Autism Music Festival, held each August, features Muscato performing alongside his family. Muscato also is the creator and writer of "Sonnyboy: A Raw Musical," a stage production based on his family's story.
The performance is 6 to 9 p.m. Chestnut Hill Brewing Company is at 8221 Germantown Ave. For information, visit chestnuthillbrewingcompany.com.
